A central theme in ERA’s work is the belief that development must stem from the actions and thoughts of the people themselves. The partnership model employed by ERA fosters a two-way relationship where the knowledge and experience of all parties are equally respected, and contributions from both sides are acknowledged. This model combines the strengths of locally based NGOs with the support of a seasoned state-level organization.
CRY (Child Rights & You) Trust
ERA, on gaining experience by working at the grassroots for more than a decade, was designated as the nodal agency for Uttarakhand by CRY Trust, facilitating a range of initiatives including Non-formal Education, Adult Education, Elementary Education, Primary Health Care, Women's Economic Development, and advocacy for Child Rights. The program also focused on the Right to Education and the implementation status of the Juvenile Justice Act in Uttarakhand.
Over a span of twenty years, a cumulative amount of *Rs. 357.95 Lakh* was utilized in collaboration with twenty NGOs across ten districts.
Danida-Capart Umbrella Fund
This initiative aimed to expand farmers' choices by developing Himalayan Farms in 40 villages within the Sull-gadh micro watershed of the Lohaghat block in Champawat district.
A total of *Rs. 34.55 Lakh* was utilized over three years to enhance agricultural practices and sustainability.
UNICEF, U.P. State Office, Lucknow
ERA partnered with UNICEF to develop traditional drinking water sources at high altitudes in the Lohaghat block of Champawat district.
This project utilized *Rs. 30.76 Lakh* over three years, significantly improving access to clean water for local communities.
The World Bank (UPRWS&ES Project)
Under this project, ERA focused on Rural Water Supply and Environmental Sanitation in seven villages in Pithoragarh district.
A total of *Rs. 26.73 Lakh* was utilized over one year to enhance water supply and sanitation facilities.
Mahila Kalyan Nigam (Samanvit Mahila Vikas Yojna)
This program concentrated on the formation of Self-Help Groups (SHGs), strengthening women's income generation in Pithoragarh district, and providing training and employment opportunities in handloom production at Tiuni in Chakrata block of Dehradun.
Over four years, *Rs. 27.62 Lakh* was utilized to empower women economically.
SDTT (Sir Dorabji Tata) Trust
The program supported community-based healthcare initiatives and the strengthening of civil society.
A cumulative amount of *Rs. 187.00 Lakh* was utilized over six years to enhance health services and community engagement.
Oxfam (India) Trust
This partnership focused on campaigns for effective water resource management.
A total of *Rs. 22.56 Lakh* was utilized over three years to promote sustainable water resource management practices.
National Education Group (Indo-German Social Service Society)
This initiative aimed to enable local initiatives through the construction of five school buildings that also served as community centers.
A cumulative amount of *Rs. 8.65 Lakh* was utilized over two years to enhance educational infrastructure.
ICCO (Indo-Canadian Cooperation), Canadian High Commission
This program focused on strengthening women's income generation groups, utilizing *Rs. 6.63 Lakh* over one year to support women's economic empowerment initiatives.
Through these partnerships and projects, ERA has made significant strides in community development, addressing critical needs and fostering sustainable growth in various sectors.
